I am inspired by the natural world having grown up on a Hampshire farm where I developed my love for the living world, colour and movement

This interest was further enhanced by an Art and History of Art ‘A’ level, attendance on a number of bespoke sculpting courses and some exhilarating safaris in South Africa and Sri Lanka

My works are all original hand-built clay sculptures and portraits, primarily of animals and birds, mostly using electrically fired stoneware

I sculpt for fun and enjoy experimenting with different clay colours and textures together with a variety of finishes such as acrylic inks, acrylic paints, waxes, oxides and glazes

There is a myriad of different materials, techniques and sculpting styles and I look forward to creating different styles of work through a variety of new ideas
