Nadia Hopkins – Old Kiln Studio

I see all of my hand thrown pieces as delicate blank canvases, shaped to elegant curves for which I mix and combine glazes. I am inspired by nature, passionate about refining the curves and exploring their interactions with glazes.

I use mainly stoneware for decorative or functional forms – vases, bowls, jugs, jars, dishes.

I use decorating technique like scraffito, shellac resist, faceting and fluting etc…

All mix all my glazes from raw materials and oxides.
