Sally Marien

Sally trained at Goldsmiths College London in the 70’s. She developed an interest and a passion for clay and ceramics and has worked as a potter making functional, decorative and sculptural work for the last 35 years.

Recently Sally has been making individual delicate vessels out of porcelain.  She has a passion for the magical and challenging process of transforming a lump of clay on the wheel into an aesthetic functional form.  Her decorative pieces with Mediterranean colours are inspired by the landscape in which she lives.

For twenty years Sally ran her own art consultancy, curating collections around the world and advising collectors on contemporary art and ceramics.

She also ran her own art gallery exhibiting the work of leading artists, potters and sculptors.

Sally has a studio in West Sussex.
