I learned to pot in pottery “De Vogelpot” in Utrecht (Holland). I throw domestic pottery in white, flecked or toasted (reduction fired) stoneware and occasionally make some figurative work in raku clay. Since the children have left the nest, I have started teaching pottery, as I find it rewarding to share the potting experience with anyone who is interested – be it teenagers, who want to learn a new skill for their Duke of Edinburgh Award or adults, who “always wanted to have a go at pottery”.
