Frequently Asked Questions

A lot of information is contained in the Stewards’ Handbook which is available in the table above. However, you may also find useful answers to frequently asked questions below:

Please click on any heading to get it to expand and show the answer.

1. What are the dates for this year’s summer exhibition?

Friday 24th July 2026 = Private view

Saturday 25th July – Sunday 9th August 2026 = exhibition open to the public from 10.00am to 5.00pm

2. Do I have to steward?

Yes, all exhibitors are required to spend one full day as a steward this year. It is not possible to pay a fee to opt out of this. If you can only manage a half day, you can choose to ‘job share’ with another exhibitor and steward for two half days each. You will need to arrange this yourself and let Sandie Dixon and Diane Henshaw know for the rota.

3. How many items can I exhibit?

If you are a full exhibitor you can exhibit a maximum of 12 items.
If you are a first-time exhibitor with a free entry you can exhibit a maximum of 3 items.

4. Can I exhibit a set of items?

Yes you can.  A set can be up to 6 items.  A cup and spoon, or a bowl and plate will count as a set.  A pot with a lid will count as one item as the parts cannot be sold separately.

However, there is a maximum of 2 sets of items per exhibitor, due to limits on exhibition and storage space.

A pair of earrings counts as one item.  A pair of earrings and a necklace counts as a set.

5. Will I be reimbursed for car parking?

No, but you can park for free when you are dropping off and collecting work and when you are stewarding.  There isn’t any free parking for the private view unfortunately.
