I work to the seasons, so in the Spring and Summer I hand build large outdoor sculptures loosely based on seed pods in heavily grogged Crank clay that is high fired and then smoked and sealed.

Around the end of July time, I then start working purely in porcelain making smaller abstract work based on natural forms. I am currently working with sliced up loofah soaked in clay slip and added to handmade sculptural vessels.

I also make a small amount of wall based work that resembles the skeletal images of deep water fish. I use high fired and then smoked paper porcelain for these making each one unique and light for wall mounting even when framed.

At Christmas I go smaller still and hand make decorations such as small porcelain angels and snowmen glazed in a white crackle which I sell in their own box tied with ribbon.
