I fell in love with clay in my last year at school, aged 16. I still have the duck sculpture I made then!

It’s only since I retired that I am now able to focus fully on my creative side. I enrolled in a wonderful course at Chichester College over 10 years ago run by the amazing Jim Ranson. Under his expert guidance I learnt how to use the wheel. I also enjoy making coiled vases and structures.

My love of the countryside and animals has also inspired my creative side. 10 years ago, I completed a 4 day Animal Sculpture Course run by Andrew Sinclair MRSS SWAc at The Sculpture School. I was able to transfer these skills to my recent ceramic sculptures of animals.
I love abstract forms, and I am also a keen fan of The Martin Brothers.
I firmly believe it’s never too late to learn new skills!
