I mostly work with porcelain.  My pieces are of no practical use – but I would like to think that they bring joy.  The “playing” with porcelain is an antidote to my other work with clay, which is portraiture.  Making a portrait is very intense and very “studied” – so when my hands get hold of porcelain, the porcelain dictates what happens!
