All my work is based around the Raku process with all my pieces being fired outside using a Raku Kiln, followed by being placed in a metal dustbin containing either sawdust or newspaper. Here the smoke does its work and it is not until you remove it and clean it up that you see the beautiful markings that is achieved through this process. It is so unpredictable and exciting. I am attracted to texture which I add using Lace, leaves, wire, zips, I try anything. My pieces include various shapes and sizes of Pots, lidded pots, bowls and vases.
