My ceramics reflects ideas that are mainly drawn from the East Sussex coastline and surrounding environments, old buildings and nature. I use a multi directional hand building approach to working with clay, sometimes involving the potter’s wheel.

 Much time is spent with each vessel, building in layers of history within the surface and allowing the form to evolve with the use of texture and a subtle palette of slips and glazes. 

 Finally the kiln is set to quite high temperatures to capture the flux and magical qualities within the firing.
