Jo Davies Demonstration and Workshop 19 September
We are delighted to welcome ceramic artist Jo Davies to Herne Hill in Petersfield to give a demonstration and workshop to our members.
Jo specialises in wheel-thrown porcelain (https://www.jo-davies.com). Her practice includes hand-making her fine porcelain design range of vases, vessels, lighting and unique objects. Jo’s work creates a balance of simplicity and surprise, making shapes that appear soft and inviting to touch.
£25 for SCG members and PACS Potters members and £35 for guests. This includes costs for materials for the workshop (clay, black underglaze, etc).The day will be from 11am-3.30pm (approx), arrival from 10:30 am onwards.
Jo will talk about her own practice and demonstrate how she throws some of her signature porcelain pieces. The demonstration will be followed by lunch. After lunch Jo will lead a workshop where participants will have an opportunity to have a hands-on experience with porcelain.

Also – please note that any cancellations requested more than 2 weeks ahead of the event will be refunded in full, after that period no refunds will be issued however you may transfer your booking to another named person. Registration is required for all attendees.
Lunch will be our famous sharing buffet (please bring crockery and cutlery to save washing up!) – please bring a contribution with a description of the dish clearly labelled for those with allergies or diet sensitivities – but please STRICTLY NO nuts of any type please, to avoid any nut allergy issues.
Tea, coffee, biscuits will be provided.
There will be a raffle for an item of Jo’s work during the demonstration/workshop.
